In 2018, ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, initiated the In-Country Value (ICV) certification to promote Emiratisation, GDP diversification, and other strategic goals. By acquiring an ICV certificate in the UAE, suppliers will benefit from additional consideration during the assessment of the tenders. The suppliers can acquire an ICV certificate that contains a score based on their contribution as recorded in the most recent audited financial statements and other factors. In this blog, we will cover the steps for registering for an ICV Certificate in the UAE.
ICV Registration in the UAE
First, you need to visit https://moiat.gov.ae/en/icv.
Now, you need to log in through UAE Pass. You also have the option to register in the MOIAT “Single Sign On” (SSO) portal.
Kindly register your company through the “Register Company” button, if your business doesn’t have an existing profile. (If you are entering an existing company, enter the invitation code received by email)
Complete the company registration. You may receive approval from MOIAT within a maximum of 3 working days.
Applying for ICV Certification
You need to log in through UAE Pass or register in the MOIAT SSO portal. Then, click on the “Bidding Process” tab from ICV Platform’s “Main Page”.
In order to start a new bidding process, click on the “Select CBs” button.
Now, you need to select from the provided list of Certifying Bodies.
Now, fill out the questionnaire and click on “Request Quote”. You need to accept the ALR’s offer accordingly.) Then, ALR will upload a signed copy of the engagement letter.
Once the upload is completed, you can proceed with populating the ICV certificate information.
Lastly, fill out the draft version that shall be Reviewed, Endorsed, Signed, and Approved by the Certifying Body.
